I'm Jamie, and I started my business in 2013 after realising that there was a need for someone who could paint and decorate, and also carry out small repairs and tackle lists of smaller jobs. Since then I have grown my business and have built up a large, loyal customer base with most of my work coming from repeat business and recommendations.

Why Handy Stanley and not Handy Jamie? Well firstly it doesn't rhyme, and secondly when I first started my business I had a dog called Stanley and the name stuck!

Pricing

Once I have reviewed the work required, I will provide a comprehensive, no obligation estimate that will include a summary of the work, materials that are required, and an estimate of the time needed to complete the work. I will provide accurate materials costs, and either a fixed cost (for smaller jobs), or appropriate day rates (for larger jobs).

I have Public Liability Insurance Cover up to £1m, and can provide references from previous customers.

Decorating

I can completely redecorate the room(s) of your choice, including stripping wallpaper, repapering with lining paper, feature walls, full wallpapering, sealing newly plastered walls and ceilings, or just painting!

I can bring old woodwork to life with new finishes, install new coving, repair leak issues, cracks and holes - all to the standards you are looking for.

Handyman

I can put up curtain poles, blinds, mirrors and pictures, in fact I can help out with most odd jobs and small repairs that occur when you move into a new home, or just choose to update.

I can install televisions of all sizes to your walls, as well as soundbars and cable trunking.

Flooring and joinery

I can install 'click' Laminate Flooring or 'glue' Tongue & Grooved Engineered Wood Flooring, including scotia beading/skirting boards, throughout your home.

I will also trim internal doors, if required, to fit over the new flooring.

Flatpack Assembly

I am skilled at assembling flatpack furniture including wardrobes, chests of drawers, media units, beds and more. From IKEA, Argos, Next, Amazon - you name it, I have built it!

Silicone Sealant

I am able to remove old mouldy silicone sealant around baths, showers and sinks and replace with brand new sealant. White, clear, grey and black!

Joinery

I can hang new internal doors (glazed/wooden), trim existing doors following new carpet installation, and fix issues with sticking doors. I can box in pipes, repair small areas of damage and put up/build bespoke shelving.
